Our Saving Grace…more than just a name
I’m sure you heard the story in the “It’s the Beer Talking” episode 4.02 about how Greg came up with the name for our juicy New England style IPA. If not, here goes…brewing beer requires a lot of cleaning and with our system, there are a lot of parts (much like a professional system). On brew or packaging days we’ve often joked about how awesome it would be if we could get our kids to clean up for us. On packaging day for the competition, without prompting, out comes Bryan’s daughter Grace ready and wanting to help. She spent two hours cleaning that day and even recruited her brothers to help! It saved us a bunch of time, hence “Our Saving Grace”. Incidentally, Grace wrote about that day in class the following Monday…I wonder what her teacher thought?!?!
Brew Day
Brew day at 14th Star was a ton of fun. Dan and Prescott were awesome in helping us get the recipe and process finalized and they made sure we brewed a great beer. Check out the photos from brew day.
Packaging Day
Packaging day was great as well! Dan, Ryan and Mark helped us fine tune the carbonation level…and sample the beer of course! It’s tasting great!
Voting
Our beer will be available as soon as the bars open on 4/20 and will likely sell out quickly (by Saturday night)! You’ll be poured both beers from the competition and you’ll vote for your favorite. Please get out and vote at any and all locations below:
